Eric Demel
Program Director

Eric's Camp Harmony journey began back in 1993 where he started as a Ranger group leader. In 2003 he and Nicole (now Asst. Director) became the first ever DUHs (Division Unit Heads). Eric held that position for two summers and then made his move into Programming. In the summer of 2007, he was promoted to Program Director, the position he holds today. As Program Director, Eric has a hand in the day-to-day operations of Camp including group scheduling, coordinating group trips and staff events. He still performs frequently in camp productions including, "Under the Age of Harmony," a show Eric writes and creates original music for.

Eric has been writing music since he was young and has completed his first children's cd titled, "You Make Me Smile," which includes many of the songs he performs at Camp; he is hoping to complete a second CD in the near future. All of Eric's music can be found on his website, ericdemel.com!

During the school year, Eric is a computer teacher in Millburn, NJ where he teachers over 500 K-5th grade students. When he's not writing music or editing Camp videos, he enjoys spending time with his family and dog Gilbert. His wife Felicia formerly worked at Camp and his son Jared currently works as a group counselor.

His favorite Camp lunch is cheese steak sandwiches…yuuuuum! He loves the new Special days that pop every summer like Spy Day! Eric also loves Coney Island Days with music by the pools! While Eric loves every summer, his best Camp memories are back when he was a Group Leader, co-writing and performing Color War finale songs with the campers.
