Craig Stein
Assistant Program Director

2011 will be Craig's 17th summer at Camp Harmony!! Wow!!! Back in 1995, Craig started out spending a few weeks as a Sports Specialty Head. Shortly thereafter, recognizing his talents working with campers, Craig was moved to our 7 year old boys where he spent quite a few summers as Pioneer II Group Leader and later a Ranger I Group Leader, spending few summers leading those rascally 3rd graders!

After extensive experience with all different age levels, Craig was promoted to the DUH (Division Unit Head) for the Boy's Side of Camp. But that position was short lived as two summers later, Craig became Assistant Program Director, the position he still holds today. Craig was Color War captain four times (McDonalds, Disney, Coke and TV) and has been a part of many Over the Edge of Harmony productions – in fact, too many to list! One of Craig's greatest accomplishments was being pied in the face for eight straight weeks on summer (a record still to be topped).

In the off-season, Craig is an 8th Grade special education teacher in Piscataway, NJ where he has been at T. Schor Middle school for 13 years. He has been married to his beautiful wife for eleven years and his two daughters that think Camp is the greatest place on Earth (and who is he to argue)!

Craig's favorite Camp lunch is any lunch that he can eat! OK ...maybe cheese steak is a close first. His favorite Special Day is Coney Island Day but his favorite Camp Memory is a little tougher since it happens every summer: seeing all of the wonderful campers walking down to Flag Raising on the first day of Camp, seeing the incredible smiles on all of their faces knowing they are about to have the Summer of their Lives!
